Visit to Kate & Jerry Losty's garden

A visit to Granny Read's, the garden of Kate and Jerry Losty, was the final open garden of our extended "fortnight". This interesting and exquisitely pretty garden was so full of unusual plants lovingly tended by Kate (certainly with the help of Jerry on the previous Saturday when I visited).

One can wander the gently curving brick paths to explore the different areas with such a profusion of planting to include harmonious colour, scent and seasonal succession, the high point at this time of year being the charming archway of clematis. which appear like butterflies from a distance. The Sage members who were able to visit on Thursday will not have been disappointed.  Below are some photos taken on Sarah, Mike and Pam F-R's visit. Many thanks to Sarah and Mike for the lovely photos.

Many thanks to Kate and Jerry for opening their garden to SAGE members.

That is the end of the SAGE Garden Fortnight;  many thanks to all who have participated;  I hope you have enjoyed it and please do feel free to send any photos to be added to the blog.  I hope that this event will be a regular feature in years to come.

Best wishes

Rosemary
