Jodie's garden - a good substitute for Devon!

Holly and I should have been in Devon now with my parents for a short break during the Easter Holidays but instead, (no doubt like many of you), I have been spending a lot of time weeding and Holly has been enjoying the garden, swinging on her swing and playing football with Daddy when he has a break from conference calls.

We had a wonderful display of hellebores, snowdrops and daffodils earlier in the year. I was really pleased with how the bed under our acer tree looked in its carpet of blue, yellow and white. Now the bluebells are taking over which are one of my favourites.

We have planted two clematis ‘avalanche’ and three David Austen Roses along the long horrid fence in our back garden and I’m hoping they will enjoy their new spot and spread
quickly!

Quite a few of our hostas in pots are already out. To me this feels very early. I absolutely love hostas. The more the merrier.

I’ve also attached a photo of our crab apple tree which we had pruned last year. I’ve never been so scared as it looked like a very brutal haircut but it has survived and I love opening our bedroom curtains each morning to see the burst of pink.

Happy Gardening and stay safe. Much love xx
