A walk round The Old Brew House garden with Pam

This rose was here when we arrived at the Old Brewhouse so it’s at least 32 years old. Pam is not sure of the name but thinks it looks like Wendy Cussons.

Pam’s comment ‘Quite a lot of colour appearing after the welcome rain. Along with weeds (not shown!)’

The red tulip in the border is Tulip Yosemite. Several Iris are out and some Poppies (not pictured as spoilt by the rain.)

Clematis ~ Guernsey Cream

Foreground Plox divaricata Blue Dreams ~ the first of the Phlox to flower and is beautifully scented. Best grown in the shade where the sun doesn’t fade away the delicate blue colour. Mid ground Soloman’s Seal and at the back is Choisya in bloom.

Inside the greenhouse with Pam is seen Fuchsia Blackie and Osteospernum grown from cuttings taken last year

Tulip Yosemite

Cerinthe ~ self seeded

Camellia Debbie

Dutch Iris ~ White Magic

Best wishes

Sarah and Pam
