Snippets from Woodlands Farm Cottage

Dear SAGE friends,

No doubt your gardens are beginning to really burst out into colour like mine.

I am very much enjoying sharing our photos. It is such a lovely way to keep in touch as it's so very quiet up here!

Alliums from Hampton Court on our visit last year. I think it's 'Purple Sensation'. Also Gladiolus byzantinus just in flower and self sown Cerinthe.

Vegetable? garden. Flowers taking over!

Linmanthes, red campion, chives, sweet rocket, Sambucus nigra

Geum 'Scarlet Tempest'

Attempts to deter frost from runners, marrows etc were hampered by the wind!

Glasshouse succulents. I have masses to give away.

Polemonium yezoense 'Halfway to Paradise'. I grow it because I like the crazy name.

I grew this perennial snapdragon 'Pretty in Pink' from a cutting taken 2 years ago from Rhona's garden.

Lastly, our chooks sunbathing.

All good gardening wishes, take care

Jane x

Dear Jane many thanks for your lovely pictures
I am sorry to see the devastation of the no doubt carefully constructed fleece covering but not surprised. The winds here were as fierce and persistent as I can remember for some time. Glad you have some good memories from Hampton Court. I have a wonderful rose I bought there which is also looking good just now
